We love surfing and surfboards but... traditional surf construction is delicate and the build process is toxic and unhealthy… we knew there had to be a better way. 12 years ago, Mike Olson set out to make a stronger, longer lasting more environmentally friendly surfboard. He applied his 30 plus years of experience handcrafting and riding high performance composite surf, skate and snowboards to the task. In the process, he completely rewrote the book on surfboard construction. Each of the 31 pieces used to construct our ECO IMPACTO surfboards are new materials to the surf industry. Our unique Thermo Pressure Fusion Process creates an amazingly durable, environmentally friendly, high performance surf structure that frees your mind and lifts your surfing to new heights.

All of our boards are handcrafted in the USA near Canada.

All rentals are picked up and dropped off at our shop located at 250 Carlaw Avenue, Unit 101. Our shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you want to rent equipment over the weekend you can choose your pick up for Friday or Saturday and select your return on Monday. Your equipment will be due back on Tuesday when we reopen, and you won't be charged for that additional day. No equipment pick up or return is available on Sundays or Mondays.

Premium surf rental for small to average days. 

A radical small wave design based on maximum surface area for lift, stability and unbridled speed in tiny surf. Inspired by the original “double ender” Bean Bag, Lib Tech’s “Freak Flag Bean Bag” features a refined, winged outline for tighter turns, added bite and faster transitions rail to rail. Tip-to-tail vee bottom, for forgiveness and on rail surfing in the smallest of waves. It also features a flat (low center of gravity) and stable deck, with forgiving rails. This board is meant to be surfed very short. Unlike most extremely wide and short boards, it has the ability to be surfed aggressively from the tail, and up onto a rail, without sliding out... Get off the Couch, toss your LazyBoy and fly your Freak Flag!

THE ULTIMATE FUN BOARD

The 6’6” is the shortest of our “mid-sized” Pickup Stick series shapes that perfectly fills the gap between a shortboard and a longboard. A speedy squash tail, full nose, smooth rocker, straight rail lines, and solid volume give this board great wave catching ability, easy turning freedom, and speed. The 6’ 6” can best be described as “the ultimate fun board” perfect for first timer progression, weekend warrior max wave time, or ripper looking for a transition period style fun board.

MID-SIZED MULTI-PURPOSE WAVE CATCHING PERFORMANCE FUN BOARD

7’0” is the middle size of our “mid-sized“ Pickup Stick Series shapes that perfectly fills the gap between a shortboard and a longboard. A narrower round pin tail, smooth flowing shape, and rocker lines with plenty of volume make this an easy turning, wave catching, speedster with extra control in all conditions. The 7’0” can best be described as a mid-sized multi-purpose wave-catching performance fun board.

Lib Tech MBC construction perfectly blends the best characteristics of epoxy: durability and liveliness with the best performance characteristics of polyester: flex and dampness. Matt and Kolohe’s good times hometown project. The wave catching and speed of a fish meets the high performance desires of one of the world’s best performance surfers. The Exacta is Kolohe’s playful fun board when he gets off his contest blades and wants to cut loose... the normal dims are yours and my fishy high performance stick when the surf gets good and we get off our Bags and Jumpers.

This board features a concave bottom that transitions to vee in the tail. The wide outline makes for easy wave catching and down-the-line glide and stability. The concave bottom adds lift and increased rail curve, which allows radical top to bottom surfing. FISHY PERFORMANCE HYBRID

THE 5’ 5” X 19 ¼ RNF IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

The surf industry was in a 20-year performance design rut when in '94 and '95 Matt Biolos experimented with multiple variations of fish for himself, Chris Ward, and Cory Lopez that became the building blocks for a performance hybrid revolution. “I’d never before had so many surfers and shapers ask me what are you riding?” The RNF '96 fish designs that teenaged Chris and Cory took to the North Shore and made their indelible mark on the surfing universe were featured in the seminal '97 surf film 5’5” X 19 ¼. The key component of Matt's fish is that they are performance-minded inspired by MR’s competitive-minded twins of the '70s and '80s with relatively pulled-in tails designed to rip, not just small surf but in all sizes and shapes of waves. Most fish have been predominantly influenced by wide-tailed '70s kneeboards that create speed but have always fallen far short of the peak performance of modern shortboards. In the name of great surfing and surfboards, Matt has applied the past 25 years of board building to create a better surfboard faithfully based on but not exacting to the 96 RNF versions.
