Brainfreeze is Canada's polar bear dip for youth mental health, and it's coming to a city near you!

Apart from waking you up with an adrenaline rush like no other, Brainfreeze can help you: (a) intimidate winter into leaving you alone, (b) obtain everlasting glory on the 'gram, aaaaand (c) make a lifesaving difference for young people struggling with their mental health.

We want to build Brainfreeze into a record-breaking nationwide polar bear dip, so talk to your buds and book your spots now! There's a registration fee for each polar bear participant and everyone is asked to fundraise a minimum of $100. All funds raised directly support Jack.org's game-changing youth mental health programs. Join us for the squealing-est feeling-est day of do-goodery in Canada!

This year, we are expanding the dip to several cities across the county, with events being organized in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Collingwood, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Victoria. If there isn't an event near you, you can also organize your own dip with your community by contacting jack.org.

1/7 young people in Canada report having suicidal thoughts. This year, 150,000 will act on their thoughts by attempting suicide. For hundreds of them, the attempt is fatal. Suicide is still the leading health-related cause of death for young people in Canada.

Things need to change. And we will lead it.

Jack.org is Canada's only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health in every province and territory. Through Jack Talks, Jack Chapters, and Jack Summits, young leaders identify and dismantle barriers to positive mental health in their communities. And through ambitious innovations in youth mental health like Be There, we give people the mental health resources they need to educate themselves in order to build a country that is better prepared to support its young people. We're working towards a Canada where all young people understand how to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other. A Canada without shame, where all those who need support get the help they deserve. Our movement is powered by tens of thousands of advocates and allies across every province and territory in Canada. We're just getting started.

How to get involved?

You can sign up for a dip near you, join a team or even create your own.

There's a registration fee for each polar bear participant and everyone is asked to raise a minimum of $100. 100% of that money goes to Jack.org's youth mental health programs.

Downtown bus pickup:
9:00am departure from September Surf Café, 2471 Notre-Dame West, Montréal. Closest metro: Lionel-Groulx. The bus will return from Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques to September Surf Café after the plunge. Approximate departure from Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques is 11:00am.
